Nina Easton

Nina Easton, Class of 1981

Nina Easton, ’81, an award-winning journalist, author, and filmmaker, is Co-CEO of SellersEaston Media, a multimedia firm telling the stories of leaders and organizations through films, memoirs, and live events.

At the Daily Cal, she worked as a reporter, international editor and managing editor. Easton spent a decade as a writer at the Los Angeles Times before joining the Boston Globe and later Fortune magazine in Washington. She was a regular television political commentator on Fox News Sunday, Meet the Press, and Face the Nation. Vox described her book, Gang of Five, which chronicles the rise of the Reagan-era conservative movement, as one “to read to understand the world.” Easton co-executive produced HBO/Max’s Gumbo Coalition, a civil rights documentary directed by two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple.
