
Larry Wilson, Class of 1977
Larry Wilson, ‘77, just concluded a six-year tenure as chair of The Daily Californian board. He is public editor of the Pasadena Star-News and the San Gabriel Valley Newspapers. He is on the editorial board and a twice-weekly columnist for the parent Southern California News Group, 11 papers throughout the Southland, including the Orange County Register, the Riverside Press Enterprise, the Long Beach Press Telegram and the L.A. Daily News. He was rock music critic for The Daily Californian from 1974-77. For 12 years he was editor of the Star-News, and prior to that was the paper’s editorial page editor. He was founding business manager at the Pasadena Weekly in 1984, and then a reporter and assistant editor there.
He received a master’s degree in 1982 from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.
