Katie Dowd, Class of 2011
Katie Dowd, ’11, is managing editor at SFGATE, guiding editorial strategy for the Hearst owned website. She started her career at SFGATE in 2011 shortly after graduating from UC Berkeley. In 2010 she served as sports editor of The Daily Cal. As a four-year writer for the student paper, she covered Golden Bears’ football, baseball and women’s volleyball, and won multiple awards for sports feature writing.
