Geoffrey Ossias, Class of 1991

Geoffrey Ossias, ’91, a partner with the law firm Goodwin Procter LLP, graduated from UC Berkeley with a master’s degree in journalism in 1991. While at UC, Geoff worked as a reporter for and held a number of editorial positions with the Daily Cal, including arts editor, specials editor and night editor.

After graduating, Geoff worked as a journalist for regional dailies, including the Tri-Valley Herald in Pleasanton, and AP-Dow Jones, a business newswire based in New York.  After returning to school for a law degree, Geoff helped start MyPoints.com (Nasdaq: MYPT), an email marketing company acquired by United Airlines in 2001. His work as an attorney has focused on venture finance and mergers & acquisitions.

Geoff acts as pro bono counsel to the Daily Cal.
