Ananya Rupanagunta, Class of 2026
Ananya Rupanagunta, ’26, is the current Editor-in-Chief and President of The Daily Californian, running the editorial and business operation and acting as the face of the organization. Originally from the News Department, she’s also held roles as University News Head Editor (Fall 2023), Managing Editor (Fall 2024) and Managing Editor of Race and Equity (Spring 2025). As EIC, her main goal is to ensure the Daily Cal maintains leading coverage over campus and city issues, especially at a time of intense political scrutiny.
Outside of journalism, she’s currently a student at UC Berkeley majoring in Neurobiology and History.
