Gina Joseph, Class of 2008
Gina Joseph, ’08, is the CEO of GamesBeat, an independent media news company focused on the business of the gaming, entertainment, and tech industry, which hosts events globally.
An award-winning leader with nearly 20 years of media and technology experience, she was named to the San Francisco Business Times’ 40 Under 40 list in 2024. She also serves on the board for Midwest Games, the IGDA Foundation, and the Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women, and is a partner for Firstboard.IO. She’s launched Women in AI events in 2019 and is an advocate for driving more women in leadership. Previously Gina was Chief Strategy Officer of VentureBeat and a media exec at Hearst Corporation, SF Chronicle/SF Gate, and Media News Group.
She started working in publishing and media when she was a student at Cal and was the Business Manager for The Daily Cal between 2006-2008.
